Starting tomorrow I'll be participating in Denise Jaden's March Madness! It's open to writers, readers, bloggers, and illustrators who want to set challenging goals for the month and cheer each other on - and win prizes too! If you have a book you need to start or finish, or a huge TBR pile to get through, you should join us!My goal for March is to write 30k words in a new book, which I'll be starting the first draft of tomorrow. I'm really excited about this book (it's a YA sci-fi murder mystery), but NaNoWriMo's 50k a month tends to burn me out, so I'm aiming for a more reasonable 30k. Hopefully this will allow me to write another 30k in April and finish the draft.
I'll be posting my progress here and on the March Madness blogs so you can make sure I keep writing, and yell at me if I fall behind.
Do you have any writing or reading goals for March? Are you joining us for March Madness?
And if you need some extra inspiration, check out Mandy Hubbard's post today. 2012 is going to be our year, I can feel it!
This sounds like a great thing to participate in. I've got a few goals for March myself. Although I won't be able to be a part this fun-time cheer-on, I'll cheer for those that are part of it.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with your goals :-)
Thanks, Liz! You've always got the in on some great resources.
ReplyDeleteI just set my goal over on Denise's blog!
ReplyDeleteWE CAN DO IT!
Agree-agree 30K keeps your engine running, but doesn't blow out the radiator. Good luck with your goals. I'm about to let the first draft of my WIP out of the drawer and start revisions.
